At the end of January I wrote an article about the iPad and it’s potential impact in education. Since that time I have done more research and pondering on the topic. I have also convinced my wife to allow me to purchase one when it goes on sell. I can hardly wait!
Over the years, many educators have grown dependent on using textbooks in their classroom. I will not discuss the pros and cons of such dependence in this article, but instead will share some free digital curriculum resources that could be used to supplement current textbooks in the classroom. Most textbooks get used for about five years and then the school purchases an updated set of textbooks. This is not the most efficient way to get information. The internet, after all, is known as the “information superhighway”.
